Although Catherine’s main stage is Ballyknocken Cookery School she is at home in most places and tours the island of Ireland making appearances at festivals and events, hosting fund-raising Cookery Demonstrations for sports organisations, schools and other public and private events drawing crowds of up to 600.
A cookery demonstration is a great way to engage and educate an audience, raise funds for a much needed cause or simply entertainment as part of a corporate or teambuilding event. Catherine hosts cookery demonstration and hands-on Master classes both onsite at Ballyknocken House & Cookery School in Co Wicklow or off-site at public or private events nationwide with her own purpose built Ballyknocken Cookery Demonstration Unit.
She is a regular chef on the Bord Bia Chefs’ Quality Kitchen stage at Bloom, where Catherine has become a firm favourite with visitors looking for quick, simple and reliable meals to cook at home. She has also written recipes and hosted cookery demonstrations in conjunction with the Pfizer/Irish Times Healthy Towns Initiative for the past 3 years.
Catherine Fulvio’s Cookery Demonstration provided an enjoyable and successful fundraising event for our school raising a tremendous €20k and attracting almost 500 people to the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore. Catherine brought her own brand of expertise combined with an engaging personality to present a Christmas menu with a difference. Catherine won the crowd over with her warm sense of humour and everlasting smile. She took time with Stall Holders and the audience and no one was denied a picture, or a moment of her time. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of celebrity chef.

Belmont GAA Fundraiser
‘It was a great night and most importantly a brilliant fundraiser. The feedback was excellent – the informal and easy-going style that Catherine had, to the variety of the dishes and the fact that Catherine took time afterwards to chat and mingle. We, The Belmont Hurling Club would highly recommend having Catherine host a cookery demonstration as a great way of fundraising but most importantly as a great night out.”
Catherine Fulvio works closely with Bord Bia to highlight the benefits of quality assured food to consumers, showing them how versatile and easy it is to cook good, quality assured food.
“Food waste prevention was the key message at the Tullamore Show this year for the Councils and Catherine Fulvio drew large crowds to her three cookery demonstrations which focused on the versatile ways in which to use everyday ingredients in our home. She engaged the audience in a fun manner whilst delivering the core message of the importance of preventing food waste. Serving up delicious dishes proved how easy it can be for anyone to do and was a big hit among the audience. The councils were delighted to have Catherine as the face of their awareness campaign and the initiative was deemed to be a great success.”
