Culinary Queen, Catherine Fulvio of Ballyknocken House & Cookery School, brings home Best Chef in Wicklow award in the Irish Restaurant Awards 2011
- Our very own, Catherine Fulvio, one of Ireland best loved TV Chefs, was awarded Best Chef in Wicklow in the Leinster Region of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2011 announced in April.
- Catherine would like to say a BIG thank you to all who nominated her in the public votes cast in February through the Sunday Independent Life Magazine. Further adjudication was carried out by members of the Restaurants Association of Ireland and by regional judging panels.
- To sample Catherine’s award-winning cooking treat yourself to overnight stay at four star Ballyknocken House & Cookery School where you will be served a four course set evening meal using the freshest local and seasonal product available. Dinner is served on a Friday and Saturday evening to residents only.
- One of three female chefs going forward in a male dominated profession, Catherine will be joined by names such as Ross Lewis (Chapter One), Eamon Reily (One Pico), Paul Flynn (The Tannery), Neven Maguire from McNean House among other celebrated County winners to compete for the Regional and All Ireland Title. Winners will be announced in May 2011.
